Vredo introduces for the 2021 season; the VT7138. The new Scania V8 Stage5 engine with over 3250nm torque @ 1350rpm/min provides a max power of 710 HP. The VT7138 is equipped with a pump filter unit with a standard 12m3 positive displacement pump and optionally a centrifugal pump with 16,000 l/min loading capacity. This gives the machine a very high loading and unloading capacity.

The compact construction in combination with steered axles makes the machine very manoeuvrable and very fast when turning on the headland. The combination of crab steer and driven axles ensure that the machines can enter the field early in the spring and, thanks to the optional tyre pressure inflation system, ensure minimal soil compaction.

The CVT transmission developed by Vredo with 2 stepless speeds; 0-20 km/h and 0-40 km/h allows the machine to drive at the correct working speed with the optimum engine speed for any working width and spread rate.

Vredo has developed a new Eco mode for the VT7138. This ensures that the engine speed is adjusted to the required power. This is fuel-saving and thanks to the high torque of the Scania engine, this control can be optimally applied.

The spacious cabin has air suspension all around and has all the desired features that a modern workplace requires such as: automatic air conditioning, Grammer Maximo Super-Comfort seat, multifunctional displays, light ergonomic joystick with many combined functionalities. All these functionalities make the working day a lot more pleasant for the driver and thus set a new standard in driver comfort.

In addition to the standard wide tank of 32,000 litre, the machine can optionally be equipped with a FlexTank, which provides a fixed 25,000 litre + flexible 7,000 litre manure tank, thanks to the flex tank its 32,000 litre manure capacity is preserved. With this FlexTank it is achievable that the tank, including a 30m trailing hose or trailing shoe injector, when folded along the tank remains within the requested transport width and can therefore take to the streets in Germany without any exemption. With a 36 meter trailing hose toolbar, the vehicle becomes 3.49 meters wide.

The VT7138 has been extensively tested recently with positive results. The first series of VT7138-3’s will be delivered next spring.
