Krone began in Germany in 1897 and soon began producing tillage equipment. Grassland equipment began to be added and Krone produced its first round baler in 1977. Ploughs and tillage machinery were eventually phased out in favour of developing the grassland machinery culminating in the launch of the Big M self-propelled mower and Big X forage harvester range.
