First for Corvus Terrain DX4 Diesel

Displayed for the first time at LAMMA, on the Boss ORV stand, the Corvus Terrain DX4 Diesel UTV is the first UTV fully designed and manufactured in Europe. The Corvus stated aim in building its UTV’s is sustainability and efficiency. The latest Terrain DX4 has improvements that make it superior to its predecessor. Powered by a robust 3-cylinder 24hp Yanmar Diesel engine for excellent fuel efficiency and range, the vehicle is Stage V emission compliant. This leads the Corvus programme of designing systems for reducing emission levels, coupled with designing and manufacturing their own parts and components. That includes the gearbox, transmission, chassis and technology systems.

The Terrain offers leading onboard storage and loading capacity with a spacious and comfortable cabin facilitating easy entry and exit. The cargo box capacity is 450kg and there is a towing capacity of 907kg. Obstacles are overcome with its 309mm ground clearance and adjustable shock absorber settings. The four-wheel-drive system is quickly activated at the touch of a button on the dashboard and the Terrain features an improved turning radius to make it much more agile. A raised snorkel doesn’t just prevent overheating, it also makes it harder for dust, water and impurities to get into the engine and CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). Suspension is independent and there’s an anti-dive system that corrects front suspension sag on sudden braking; which is a good feature to have for safety in both off-road and road-going situations. The Terrain is homologated to T1b regulation with a top speed of 40mph/65kph and is available in 4×4 and two-wheel-drive versions. Maintenance is made easy, with quick access to all the mechanical components.

The model variants are the Terrain DX4, DX4 PRO and DX4 CAB, the latter featuring a fully enclosed cab with rigid doors and advanced roof and air conditioning in the fourth model, the CAB CLIMA, rounding off the creature comforts. Corvus is building the Terrain for work primarily in agriculture, livestock, forestry, grounds care, turf care and construction, but they are highly adaptable vehicles ready for any demanding off-road workout, say Corvus.
