Massey Ferguson, a worldwide brand of AGCO (NYSE:AGCO), has announced its MF 6700 S Series is reaching a new level of smarter performance with five new models delivering higher maximum powers from 135hp to 180hp. Like their predecessors, the new MF 6700 S Series delivers the power and torque of a comparable six-cylinder tractor, along with the benefits of a compact, lightweight four-cylinder.

Building on the success of the original models, the latest MF 6700 S Series offers operators more performance combined with a choice of transmissions to suit any need, along with new operating terminals and extended tyre options, which further increase their versatility while helping to lower ownership costs.

“Now with the introduction of the new MF 6700 S Series we retain this very successful recipe to boost productivity and performance and deliver even more benefits.”

All models are equipped with the latest AGCO Power four cylinder, Stage V engines that meet strict emission regulations thanks to the maintenance free “All-in-One Stage V” after-treatment system. Maximum power is increased by 5hp on all but the smallest model, while Engine Power Management (EPM) delivers a boost of up to 20hp.

The new MF 6700 S Series provides as well different transmission choice, on all models, either the Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission or the new semi-powershift Dyna-6 Super Eco.

Three levels of specifications (Essential, Efficient & Exclusive) are available to suit all farming applications and businesses.

New MF 6700 S Stage V Series specifications

Intelligent, powerful four cylinder engines

All MF 6700 S Series tractors are powered by the very latest AGCO Power 4.9 litre, four cylinder engines, which all produce 5hp more than previous models. Engine Power Management (EPM) generates an extra 15hp on the MF 6713 S and 20hp on all the other tractors. This operates automatically for fieldwork, when the PTO or hydraulics are activated and increases progressively at speeds above 18km/hr on the road.

Straightforward system meets Stage V

Massey Ferguson meets the strictest Stage V emission regulations with the straightforward “All-in-One Stage V” system which remains entirely maintenance free. No design changes to the tractors are required and this ensures it does not compromise the existing exceptional visibility. The exhaust pipe is actually slimmer than before.

The next generation of the “All-in-One SCR” system, first launched in 2015, now employs a new soot catalyst (SC) between the diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR). Automatic and passive regeneration, which does not consume any extra fuel, maintains the excellent fuel economy.

Running costs reduced by design

Servicing is designed to be simple and straightforward, with running costs reduced by long service intervals – 600 hours for the engine and 1,800 hours for the transmission. New automatic hydraulic tappet adjustment further cuts costs, with the maintenance-free system saving up to €1,950 over 2,400 hours.

Transmissions to suit all tasks

All MF 6700 S Stage V models come with a choice of either the Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission (CVT) or the new Dyna-6 Super-Eco. This latest version of the well-regarded semi-powershift enables the tractors to achieve road speeds of up to 40km/hr at just 1,500rpm, resulting in considerable fuel savings.

For optimum control is the Dyna-VT, which enables operators to set any forward speed at any engine rpm to maximise productivity, increase efficiency and improve work quality. It operates in intuitive driving modes that are easy to adjust to suit all tasks and conditions. The latest Super Eco version further reduces fuel consumption by achieving 40km/hr road speeds at just 1,450rpm.

Control of the MF 6700 S has never been easier

Massey Ferguson’s latest Datatronic 5, 9” touch-screen terminal is standard in the Exclusive specification and an option on the Efficient models. This easy to use ISOBUS compatible terminal offers tablet-style operation, enabling operators to access and change settings quickly and easily.

As well as providing full tractor and implement control, Datatronic 5 can also build into a comprehensive precision farming suite to include MF Guide, MF Section Control and MF Rate Control.

Alternatively, the Fieldstar 5 option is available on Essential and Efficient specifications. This uses the same intuitive touch-screen terminal to deliver ISOBUS compatibility as well as being able to handle the complete MF Technologies suite.The new MF 6700 S range is also compatible with MF Connect, which continuously records tractor activity and movements. It can display history and real time data on mobile devices, and users can access the data anytime, anywhere ensuring smarter tractor data management and predictive maintenance. More power to the ground

A wider tyre choice increases the MF 6700 S Series’ performance and versatility, with the option of fitting tyres up to 1.85m in diameter. Capable of working at pressures down to 1 bar, these larger tyres cut soil compaction and increase traction.
